About this deal

The FE.TID (Ferrous Target display) setting is now enabled by default. If you prefer not to display ferrous target IDs, you can turn off the FE.TID setting. I never particularly liked the Deus with the 11” coil. I did not see a big difference depth wise, it was very nose heavy, and the only improvement was for horizontal coverage. The XP Deus and The XP Deus II use what XP calls “Reactivity” which is also equivalent to the “Recovery Speed” on the Minelab Equinox. Does the XP Deus II have a faster recovery speed than the Equinox? Early tests and videos of side by side comparisons are showing that the Deus II has the advantage. The XP Deus has always been a really fast metal detector and it appears that XP has definitely improved what was already a very fast machine. Their proprietary use of Fast Multi-Frequency (FMF) appears to be giving them an edge over the Equinox. XP Deus Reactivity Chart Reactivity Number Overall, the XP Deus 2 did what is expected from such an advanced machine, and this is what was found:

The best frequencies for valuables like gold, silver, and palladium items are between 30 and 88. XP Deus 2 – First Test On A Lake Beach XP wireless protocol (10 times faster than low latency Bluetooth) between the coil, the WS6 module, and the headphones (+ the optional wireless Pinpointer MI6) The new XP Deus II has its own series of search coils, which are not compatible with the previous Deus, and the first Deus’ coils are not compatible with the new metal detector. XP is once again at the forefront of metal detection technology, pushing the limits by giving detectorists exactly what is asked for & indeed required to get the best results either inland, in freshwater, or indeed in saltwater thanks to their FMF® (Fast Multi-Frequency) technology.Using the XP Deus 2 on the beach is an absolute pleasure. Because it is completely waterproof, there is no need for a rain cover on the control panel. However, because beaches tend to have mineralized soil, it is one of the more challenging places to use a metal detector without getting mixed signals. Previous versions 0.6, 0.71, and 1.0 are still available online and accessible thanks to the new updater. If you follow my recommendations above, I guarantee the Deus II will start making sense and you will cut your learning time in half. The Deus II is a very powerful and capable metal detector. The more you use it the more you are going to like it. Don’t Believe Everything You Read About The Deus II.

The XP Deus 2 has all these features: fully waterproof to 20m, the FMF frequency range, and bone-conduction headphones. We have successfully resolved the issue of remote control rebooting or WS6 freezing in very rare configurations. As an owner of the original Deus I am happy to report that the new Deus II is more stable, deeper, fully waterproof down to 66 feet, and multi-frequency! These are the features previous owners have asked for and XP Delivered. Plus, XP has added a bunch of audio features that allows the user to configure the metal detector the way they want to hear it. The Deus II is loaded with configuration options. Scott with his new XP Deus II

XP Deus II Features

You’re right in that the original Deus was not a real salt water machine and that’s the main reason I sold it. I have higher hopes for the Deus 2

If you have huge beaches or fields that stretch for miles, hard to beat a steveg balanced Equinox with 15x12 coil. I don’t see a Deus replacing this….

The user can mount the WS6 module on the stem and actually use it as a mini control box, to have access to all the settings. In fact, the detectorists will be able to use any of the 3 combinations: Once the three or indeed two main components are paired by simply entering a serial number, XP’s patented wireless protocol allows target signals generated by the search coil to be transmitted to either a built-in speaker or to the headphones without any delay. Not to be confused with Bluetooth technology & their ‘low latency’.

Uses FMF up to 14kHz -Stands for Deep High Conductor. Good for coins, coins spills i.e. high conductor targets. Mono Frequency option– 49 single frequencies from 4 to 45 kHz enable narrower, more specific types of search, working with certain terrains and targets Bone conduction headphones are perfect for diving, because they conduct the sound signal directly to the inner ear through the cheekbone, without eardrums involved. This technology gives a list of advantages: XP’s philosophy is not to make their detectors down to a price, instead, they create and engineer a detector up to the specification required & without compromise, attention to detail is paramount.Uses FMF up to 40kHz – FT stands for Full Tones. Similar setup as the program 2 but uses full tones and uses a Reactivity setting of 3 instead of 2.5. Designed for more experienced users. Works well in mineralized and trashy ground. the sound signals come more clear compared to underwater headphones, because anyways the eardrum conducts the sound less effectively when the ear is filled with water When searching wet sand or surf always use the SALT SENS setting as a priority rather than the general sensitivity. If you are planning on entering the water, it would be best to use the waterproof bone conduction headset. Al the XP headsets have dynamic audio options such as PWM and SQUARE. The larger headsets are better for use on a busy beach as they will cup your ears and drown out distracting noises and the sound of the waves. Take the XP Deus 2 out regularly and learn the different settings while practicing. You will find it easier to use every time.
