About this deal

Hardin tries to explain her that he was wrong and this time he will do everything he can not to hurt her again. She was going to move to New York with Landon but her resolution was slipping once again because of Hardin.

I liked that Hessa grew a lot and I liked that they finally put an end to their back and forth–or tried to. Tessa can be infuriating at times and I swear she sometimes makes choices that you can't help but think she is purposely testing Hardin's limits but she didn't deserve to have, once again, her heart ripped out of her chest and stomped all over. After hearing about the death of Tessa’s father, his fickle and selfish mind hops back into gear and heads back to the states.I think Anna took chances when she wrote the end and for that I thank her because I don't think After will leave me any time soon. I liked that before moving with Landon, Tessa made the effort to get her relationship with her mom on the right track.

After all, this series' entire guilty pleasure appeal was based on the very same things that made this couple such a train wreck -- fighting, angst, jealousy, breaking up and making up. Plans for leaving with Landon for New York seemed so simple and pure and beautiful–who can resist a fresh start in the best city in the states, with your very best friend?

Ken also told Hardin that he always knew he wasn’t his biological son and that he never stopped loving him and really wants Hardin to be in his life. In the real world, a clean break would mean no contact and "getting away for a while" would probably be a couple of months with you never coming back because that's how normal people tend to heal (there are exceptions, but I'm ignoring them right now for the purposes of being beyond frustrated with these books). How dare Anna Todd spend so much time with two characters who clearly have no intelligent thoughts in their heads? I almost never like it when a book goes into the future and shows the couple five or more years down the line, but in this case I really enjoyed the afterward that showed how Hardin and Tessa ended up.

It's like they know they have an audience and feel the need to put on a play that no one would be willing to pay for or would even stay halfway through, and then here I am still reading it because I have no self-respect at all. Even when I was rolling my eyes and ready to give up, I just had to know what would happen with these two damaged people. Langford and Fiennes Tiffin are reprising their roles as Tessa Young and Hardin Scott, respectively.

Not that fucked up concept of space that happened when she went to Seattle and they barely went a day without seeing or talking to each other. As you may remember, Zed's been trying to get with Tessa since the beginning of time, but knowing he has a strong friendship with Tessa, Hardin puts that aside because he's desperate to help her however he can. Then there’s the way she constantly leads other guys on: Noah, Trevor, Zed, and Robert the waiter, who she’s still stringing along towards the end of this book in the full knowledge that he likes her as more than a friend.
