Even with the emphasis on food, some of her cooking advice is so odd as to suggest that she had little experience preparing meals. However, in certain instances, occasional blurriness, missing segments, or faint black spots might persist.Slight wear to spine ends and corners, a few marks to boards; a little slanting to binding, a couple of spots internally but generally clean internally. Isabella Beeton's final work, the 'Dictionary of Every-Day Cookery' was first published in 1865 and is second in importance only to 'Household Management'.
