Logan is too drunk for this conversation, and Silas is too nettled to treat him with an inkling of more respect. Silas doesn’t love me like all the characters love their counterparts in these books—because it’s more than that. A group of girls follow, giggling and whispering to one another, preoccupied with a communication tablet they’re all looking at.
