Setting and Style: Open to interpretation but there are stage directions within the play to help support a ‘in the round’ production using the students to define the stage space. The dialogue is very naturalistic and dramatic in terms of the way it builds and there are a lot of lines for the two main male roles. The way in which Play in a Day is designed allows for everyone’s voice to be heard. All pupils will be involved in their own way and will be encouraged to share their talents and work as a group to support each other. If, however, you are less concerned with the subject matter of the play, we suggest you leave it to our Director to choose on the day once they have had an opportunity to meet the group.
